«Karisma Hotels will add 1,000 rooms in 3 new hotels in destinations in the Dominican Republic» •


Punta Cana, RD.- Karisma Hotels & Resorts is in an aggressive expansion plan in the Dominican Republic with investments for new hotels in the country’s new tourist destinations, including Cabo Rojo in Pedernales and Punta Bergantín in Puerto Plata, which will be adding 1,000 rooms in total.

This was expressed by Jorge Feliz Germán, CEO Karisma Hotels in the DR, at the official welcome event for DATE 2024 participants, held on the night of April 23 at the facilities of the Nickelodeon Punta Cana Resort.

The executive noted that efforts are being made to bring two of its most famous brands, Nickelodeon and Margaritaville, to the Cabo Rojo destination in 2 new hotels with about 700 rooms in total.

In the case of Punta Bergantin, Jorge Feliz assured that a letter of understanding has already been signed with the Dominican Reserve Bank, which will allow it to build some 300 rooms and water attractions, in a project scheduled to open at the end of 2025.

On the other hand, he highlighted the new investments being completed at Nickelodeon Punta Cana Resort, which added new rooms, new restaurants and a large expansion of its water park, which will now include 6 new attractions and a special sector for teenegers.

In addition to Jorge Feliz, David Llibre, president of ASONAHORES, participated in the welcome event, who thanked the international operators and agencies that came to DATE this year and assured that, “The Dominican Republic is currently the fastest growing tourist destination in the Caribbean and “It has become the most important in the region,” said Llibre.
