Barcelona, Spain.- The Reserve Bank It joined as an Affiliate Member of the World Tourism Organization (UN Tourism), which is the United Nations agency in charge of promoting world tourism and which includes some 500 companies and public and private organizations from various countries.
The formal entry of the Dominican banking institution took place within the framework of the celebration of the 121st Session of the Executive Council of UN Tourism, held in Barcelona, Spain, where the Bank was represented by its director, its general director of Tourism Business, Deyanira Pappaterra.
The acceptance of the name was suggested by the ambassador of the Dominican Republic to the UN-Tourism, Anabel Bueno Santana-Dolenc, in coordination with the Vice Ministry for Cooperation Affairs of the Ministry of Tourism.
Banreservas’ participation as a member of the prestigious UN organization offers multiple benefits to dimension its tourism business strategy in various international scenarios, aimed at promoting investment in that sector in the Dominican Republic.
Among these options we can mention networking management, as well as the ease of interaction through communication channels with Member States and members of the private sector participating in this type of international event.
